So the title of this compilation might not get you excited and does little to represent this quality release. However, the artists on the Multicolor label are amazing and extremely varied in their sound. They merge electronic music with traditional elements from Chile, Brazil, Cuba, Columbia and Jamaica to create amazing material that reflects the multi-cultured sounds that have influenced them. The title does reflect the compilation's structure. CD one, .Listen,. is a collection of rare and sold-out releases from Multicolor; a great example of their sound with tracks from Gonzalo Martinez, Azúcar Letal, Lisa Carbon, Ltd. Noise (ex-drummer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood), King Tubby and Soul Syndicate and Kraftwerk covers by Señor Coconut. Perfect for those seeking a more sophisticated sound with South American influences.

Disc two features excellent club remixes of Multicolor tunes and previously unreleased material. Most of the second disc is comprised of minimal and deep house material which is all excellent but the really interesting material are tracks like Señor Coconut glitchy-cut-n-paste-drum & bass-dub remix of Gonzalo Martinez.s .La Cumbia Triste.. The second disc is amazingly different from the first but it a great way to explore the different sides and artists of the label as well as some of the unreleased material from new artists like Sieg über die Sonne and Ltd.
