Relentless Beats was a perfect title selection for
Misstress Barbara’s debut mix CD. This Canadian native has
been perfecting her DJ and production skills since 1996 when
she decided to trade her drum kit in for turntables and began
a career that has taken her all over the Globe. Relentless
Beats features 24 pounding Techno tracks, including three
of her own and additional tunes from artists likes Steve Stoll,
Deetron, Jorge Zamacona, Pressure Funk and Hitoshi Oshishi
just to name a few. All of the tracks are heavy, percussion
driven and mixed flawlessly by Misstress Barbara. The mix
never lets up for a moment creating an intense and energetic
set. She is well on her way to becoming a heavy-hitter in
the DJ world, she has worked very hard in a short amount of
time and it seems to be paying off. The tunes on the disc
are not the most innovative production-wise but work as strong
club music and that’s exactly what they are intended to do.
