MC Conrad Presents
Logical Progression Level 4
Good Looking

Cosmic breakbeat, liquid funk, drum n'bass, all tags associated with the innovative sounds created specifically for Good Looking Records. If the previous installments in the "Logical Progression" series are any indication of the quality of music to be expected, then there's definitely a continuation of that tradition taking place. On the fourth installment in this groundbreaking series, MC Conrad ensures that quality has not been overlooked in an effort to garner commercial success. The majority of tracks showcase tight lyrical styling laid over rolling basslines, accompanied by aquatic swathes of sound that swim around the head. Though this musical description could accurately describe the majority of Good Looking releases, this formula continues to be infused with an ever-increasing array of sounds that refresh and relax the mind. Throw Reggae, Hip Hop, Rare Groove & Deep House into a blender and you've only begun to touch the inspiration of sounds drawn together.

Admittedly this 'fusion' of sounds draws the majority of criticism from others in the drum n' bass camp. Many 'junglist' find the sound too laid-back or atmospheric. Regardless of what others think GoodLooking Records has definitely carved itself a niche that is too often imitated. MC Conrad has surrounded himself with a tight group of producers and artist's who show stunning versatility committed to blurring the lines between musical styles. Highlights include the tracks 'Strategies & Plans' as well as 'Logical', both of which feature trademark deep-soul basslines and moody cosmic keyboard stabs. As an extra incentive to help relieve wallets at the cash registers there is a bonus CD included featuring exclusive studio tracks from labelmates Big Bud, Nookie, PFM, Makoto and other trailblazing artist's. Nuff' Said? A winner! - Aztec
