Savvas Ysatis

Tresor

Savvas Ysatis follow up album for the Tresor label is one of those records that fit perfectly into the summer season. Just check out the track titles. His soothing dubby techno offers the same sensation of stepping into a chilled room after a punishing day in the sun. Much like his release under the Soundtrack moniker for Caipirinha, Ysatis's tech-house sound offers crystal clear synths that pop in and out over kickback house tempos. It is often rare that a techno record can work itself in a multi-environment direction. You could work any of the tracks into a moving club set, drift off to sleep as you mellow out or use it as for a soundtrack when you need a creative push. All of the material has similar elements making the tracks hard to distinguish from each other but somehow you never grow tired of it. -Justin Hardison
