The Classic label has launched a new DJ mix CD series and
what better way to kick it off then with a double album from
the label's owners. Thanks for coming by reminds me of everything
I've about loved about the deep house sound since the beginning.
It's perfect for the club or chilling-out around the house,
the melodies are catchy as hell and it always gives the emotional
high deep house fans often long for. Both sets are different
and unique, exploring the vast sound from the label's array
of releases. Luke Solomon's set, the personal favorite, features
Classic tracks from the past and future and is the deeper,
funkier, and chilled-out of the two with it's seductive atmosphere
and kick-back tune selection. Derrick Carter's set picks up
the tempo for a funky Chicago style house set featuring his
own material as well as tracks from Herbert, DJ Sneak, Isolée
and other supreme talent. All around it's a diverse album
from both an up and coming London DJ and a house veteran of
Chicago. - JH
