Is it classic rock of the new millennium? Could be. If all else,
I can say that this band is bringing back a sound that could get
my parents interested. And that is a feat in itself!
From just the sampler CD, I know that I would be curious to see
these guys in concert. The long hair, crazy shirts, beards and
sunglasses definitely set the stage for this new rock 'n' roll
album. And I don't believe that anyone recently has been able
to utter those words, "new rock 'n' roll". The 2000s
have not been the decade for bands drawing influences from artists
of the past. But, Whitestarr has done it and I might add,
done it well. In these four songs I get a strong sense of Led
Zeppelin style mixed with some early Aerosmith attitude.
Combine the huge rock hooks with classic themes and you get songs
like: "Luv Machine" and "Sunshine Girl". These
guys are bringing a whole new flavor of music to concerts which
this generation has not yet seen. It should be interesting.
