Alan Yates Band
Red
Tripolar Records
www.alanyatesband.com

What would a mixture of Ryan Adams and Bryan Adams sound like? Well, if they played in a down-home, classic Georgia bar, complete with an order of Fish n' Chips, then they might sound like the Alan Yates Band.

This is one of those bands which was born and raised primarily by and as one man. Alan Yates is that man for this group. It is his talent that has engineered, mixed, written and performed this newest release, Red. Following their release of Mint Condition in 2003, Red has already drawn a lot of good attention. This attention is slightly due in-part to the excellent "teachers" Alan has had. Working with artists like Collective Soul and Shawn Mullins has allowed for him to draw his own inspiration on top of learning how to make a great album. Red has a combination of catchy, almost "pop-esque" songs like "Arlington" and "Wasting Time", with some perfect summer afternoon relaxation songs, "Can You Hear Me" and "Place In The Sun".

So, you throw Ryan Adams, Bryan Adams, some Collective Soul, a dash of Shawn Mullins, a hint of Chris Isaac, and a cup of Peter Gabriel into a blender... And out comes Alan Yates Band, mmmm… sounds good.
