Ok, I think I hurt myself listening to this CD.
I'd like to state for the record that Imperative Reactions'
latest release Redemption owes me money now for my chiropractor
bills. Guys, you can make that check out to "Dr. MacBackocrunchin
c/o Spyder." That will be fine. I have bounced around my
car, bedroom, the nightclub and even my front yard to this CD
like I was training for the Pride Fighting Championships.
Straight out of the gate these guys don't let you sit down, rest,
or even think about being melodramatic and weepy. Get up and be
angry. Go throw things
go prank call your ex for being stupid,
or just prank them for the hell of it
clean out the house
Or, if you're feeling kind of lazy, just scream along with the
lyrics, because any and all of these songs will suffice for the
task. The only rest you can hope for is track number 10, aptly
titled "Alone" but you better get that drink fast, because
it fades quickly and beautifully into "This Distance"
and you'll never get the chance again until the cd is completely
over.
It's very rare that I come across an EBM/Industrial cd that I
find doesn't have three songs that are good and the other umpteendozen
suck. I usually have one mix cd of the 200 complete cd's because
of this. However, Imperative Reaction has really done a good job
with all they did, and all of the help that they received on this
project. Ted Phelps' lyrics, music and mixing are nothing
but fantastic. Lisbeth Phelps vocals and lyrics are to
die for on track number 6, "Malady," and I don't even
LIKE girl singers! Way to go, girlie
put the faith of girl
singers back in me.
I will be waiting impatiently to see who wants to try and remix
it to something different, and what will be come of it..I honestly
don't think it can be any better than it is, honestly
I
mean it.. really
don't touch it
its better to quit
while you're ahead.
And on that note, I say GO buy this cd. NOW
. off with you!
