Please don't stalk me…but…Oh my goodness…
I was so looking forward to this CD, Elemental by Cesium_137.
When I actually got the chance to listen to it, I was struck…with
a boring hammer. Wow, how uninspiring this CD is. I'm even afraid
to mention these guys' names because I don't want to embarrass them
further or have them stalk me and trap me into a room to listen to
it again. I mean, come on, even their website was screwed up and not
very useful! Ugh…
The first two tracks, "The Storm" and "Atrophy"
are marginal at BEST. I think the best way of explaining them would
be to say they would be filler tracks in between GOOD songs at the
club - i.e.: "hey, I'm waiting for something good to play,"
or "I need to get a beer," or "hey, I need to take
a crap, and I need to fill in 4 minutes before I get the crowd going
again." This CD was approximately an hour or so of my life
that I shall never get back.
Oh goodness, I feel so bad for not liking this CD. But then again,
I'm hoping Cesium_137 will go back into the studio and burn their
equipment, and start over. Everything I listened to was all tried
and worn out, trite, too busy or over done. I could count the beats
and tell you exactly what noise or beeping sound would come next,
and the same for the lyrics - Totally predictable.
I still can't get over it... Wow… I'm so under-whelmed.
Check it out if you dare, or if you really need something to make
you feel better about your own musical abilities! Ha.
