Peaches
The Teaches Of Peaches
Kitty-Yo

On Peaches debut The Teaches Of Peaches, you'll catch her sliding into your bed with an MC 505 Groovebox in her hand, singing to you about the old in and out in a rough and sassy style. Peaches sings about her passion for sex, cars, and rock 'n' roll with a hot injection of new-wave punk and poppy hip-hop. Her tracks are beat heavy and minimal, making Peaches hard to swallow, but her catchy rhymes keep you hooked and begging for it. "I like the innocent type/ deer in the headlights/ rocking me all night/ flexing his might/ doin it right/ keeping me tight/ taking a bite out of the peach tonight". If Peaches ever establishes herself as the indie-electro pop princess, she won't be known for her polished production or intellectual lyrics but for the style in which she presents them.

After the two sex charged tracks 'Fuck The Pain Away' and 'Aa Xxx,' the guitar driven 'Rock Show' brings back all the memories of old school punk and good times with simple programming and a two cord guitar line. Other tracks like 'Cum Undun' and "Diddle My Skittle' are similar in that they cover the same subject matter (sex) but sound very different. Imagine getting down to some retro booty hip-hop as suddenly Aphex Twin enters your bedroom for some late night seduction.

My girlfriend thinks Peaches is gross, but when I listen to tracks like 'Lovertits' and 'Sucker' I hear a Blondie influence. I may be buying into the sex sells approach but I think that is what Peaches is trying to teach you. After all, "There is only one Peach with the hole in the middle".
